Step 2: Ensure it is a KEY
Keys are like a license. Other options have restrictions. (Unless you have no account with said software; then ACCOUNT is fine).
Step 3: Purchase and ACTIVATE.
For a KEY, activate it in the account interface of your software (usually online). If ACCOUNT, login using the Account information.
